Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Apple Fries
- Begin by peeling (if desired) and coring the apples, then cut them into fry-like sticks, roughly ½ inch thick. Pat the apple slices dry with paper towels.
- Create a breading assembly line with three bowls. In the first bowl, place all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together one egg and a splash of milk until smooth. In the third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
- Dredge each apple stick in the flour, dip into the egg wash, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the fries with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange in a single layer and air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Once cooked, remove from the basket and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes
For best results, use firm apple varieties and don’t overcrowd the air fryer. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes.
