Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Apple Fries
  1. Begin by peeling (if desired) and coring the apples, then cut them into fry-like sticks, roughly ½ inch thick. Pat the apple slices dry with paper towels.
  2. Create a breading assembly line with three bowls. In the first bowl, place all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together one egg and a splash of milk until smooth. In the third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Dredge each apple stick in the flour, dip into the egg wash, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the fries with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange in a single layer and air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
