Preparation Steps
- Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, cooked meats, and chopped spinach.
- Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the prepared dough into a large circle, about ¼ inch thick.
- Slice the dough into circles approximately 6-8 inches in diameter.
- Take a scoop of filling and place it on one half of each dough circle.
- Gently fold the dough over the filling and press down on the edges to seal.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and brush the tops of the calzones with an egg wash.
- Place the calzones in the air fryer and cook for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- After cooking, check that the filling is bubbly and the dough is cooked through.
- Allow the calzones to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
