Preparation
- Lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Layer half of the brioche bread cubes on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Dot the cream cheese over the bread cubes, followed by half of the fresh strawberries.
- Add the remaining brioche bread cubes on top.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and kosher salt.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread layers and let absorb.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and let the dish rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and continue to bake for another 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving and garnish with remaining strawberries and confectioners' sugar.
