Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, instant vanilla pudding mix, egg whites, milk, sour cream, vegetable oil, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth. Divide the batter into two bowls and mix in green food coloring in one and purple in the other. Pour each color into greased pans and bake for 28–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool.
  2. While the cakes cool, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy, then fold in the whipped cream gently. Set the filling aside in the refrigerator.
  3. Once the cakes have cooled, remove from pans and cut into small cubes, about one inch in size. Ensure both green and purple cubes are ready for layering.
  4. In mason jars or dessert cups, layer green cake cubes at the bottom, followed by chopped Oreos, cream filling, purple cake cubes, more Oreos, and finish with the cream filling on top.
  5. Sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top and garnish each jar with an Oreo. Cover with lids or plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
  6. When ready to serve, pull the desserts out of the fridge and enjoy the spooktacular Beetlejuice Mini Trifles!
