Ingredients

For the Base
  • 2 Granny Smith apples These provide natural sweetness; feel free to swap with any green apple variety.
  • 2 stalks celery Adds a refreshing crunch; extra cucumber or fennel can work as alternatives.
  • 1 head romaine lettuce Contributes juiciness; can substitute with baby romaine, iceberg, or butter lettuce.
For the Superfood Boost
  • 1-2 teaspoons blue spirulina powder Enhances nutritional profile; omit for a simple green juice.

Equipment

  • cold-press juicer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Blue Superfood Juice
  1. Wash 2 Granny Smith apples, 2 celery stalks, and 1 head of romaine lettuce under cool running water. Pat them dry, then chop the apples into quarters, slice the celery into 2-inch pieces, and tear the romaine into smaller chunks.
  2. Turn on your cold-press juicer and carefully feed the prepared apples, celery, and romaine into the chute. Allow the juicer to work for about 2-3 minutes.
  3. If preferred, take a fine mesh strainer and pour the juice through it into a large bowl or pitcher for a smoother texture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk 1-2 teaspoons of blue spirulina powder into the freshly juiced mixture until fully dissolved.
  5. Pour the finished Blue Superfood Juice into glass jars, adding ice cubes if desired. Enjoy immediately!
