Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt until thoroughly combined.
- Cut in very cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough just comes together. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while the dough chills.
- Peel and slice your pears, then toss them in a bowl with brown sugar, flour, and chai spice mix.
- In another bowl, combine oats, chopped almonds, brown sugar, and melted butter.
- On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough and fit it into a tart pan. Pour the pear filling into the crust and sprinkle the topping evenly.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let it cool for 15 minutes before serving warm.

Notes
Allow the tart to cool slightly for easier slicing. Serve warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream.
