Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well.
  2. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Transfer to a greased baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle the garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly over the dough. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Using a pizza cutter or knife, slice the dough into strips or squares.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and brush the melted butter over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
