Ingredients

For the Batter
  • 3 whole ripe bananas, mashed Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Enhances the banana flavor; reduce sugar for a less sweet bread.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed Adds depth and caramel notes; can substitute with more granulated sugar.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Provides richness; coconut oil works well for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 large eggs Binds the mixture together; flax eggs are a great vegan substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla for the most flavorful outcome.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Leavens the bread; can replace with baking powder if needed.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness and enhances flavor; don’t skip it!
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Gives structure; for gluten-free, use a suitable blend.
For the Cinnamon Swirl
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon Adds a warm, spicy note; adjust based on taste preference.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Sweetens the cinnamon layer for deliciousness.
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Provides sweetness and completes the flavor profile.
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk Thin out the glaze; dairy or non-dairy milk will work.
