Cooking Steps

  2. Halve the peaches and remove the pits. Place cut-side up in a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Melt the unsalted butter and drizzle over the peach halves, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the peaches.
  6. Drizzle lemon juice and add a pinch of salt over the peaches.
  7. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil during the last 5 minutes to crisp the topping.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving warm with optional toppings.
