  • 4 large ripe peaches halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons butter or coconut oil for dairy-free
For the Sweet Mixture
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or maple syrup for a twist

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Halve the peaches and remove the pits, placing them cut side up on the baking sheet.
  3. Place a small piece of butter in the center of each peach half.
  4. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the peach halves.
  6. Bake for 8-12 minutes until tender and golden with bubbling butter and sugar.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
