Step-by-Step Instructions for Chicken Pillows
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and softened butter until smooth. Add shredded chicken, chives, minced onion, salt, and pepper, and mix until combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough on a clean surface, press two triangles together to form rectangles, sealing any perforations. Create 8 uniform rectangles.
  4. Divide the chicken filling among the dough rectangles, fold the dough over the filling, and pinch edges to seal.
  5. Dip each shaped Chicken Pillow in melted butter, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly. Arrange on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.
  7. While baking, heat a saucepan over medium heat. Combine cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, and water. Stir until boiling, then simmer until ready to serve.
  8. Remove baked Chicken Pillows from the oven and pour warm gravy over them before serving.
