Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine one cup of white wine and a smashed garlic clove. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer for about 10 minutes or until reduced by half.
  2. Decrease heat to low and whisk in one cup of heavy cream. Keep whisking for about 5-7 minutes until thickened to coat the back of a spoon.
  3. Stir in half a cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring gently.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in 4 tablespoons of cold butter one tablespoon at a time until fully incorporated.
