Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Frankenstein Oreo Balls
  1. In a large bowl, combine finely crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, and a splash of vanilla extract. Mix until dough-like consistency is achieved.
  2. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll them into balls. Flatten the top slightly for a distinctive Frankenstein shape and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Chill the shaped truffles in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm.
  4. Melt light green melting wafers and Crisco in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  5. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted green chocolate until fully coated, shaking off excess.
  6. While the chocolate is still wet, cover one end with black sprinkles and attach candy eyes and pretzel sticks as ears.
  7. Melt dark chocolate wafers and pipe on mouths, stitches, or other details as desired.
  8. Chill the decorated truffles for 30 minutes to set completely before serving.
