Step-by-Step Instructions for Air Fryer Apple Fries
  1. Wash the apples and peel them if desired. Slice into fry-like sticks, about 1/4 inch thick. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. In three shallow bowls, set up your breading stations: flour in the first, beaten egg with milk in the second, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with sugar and cinnamon in the third.
  3. Take each apple stick and dredge in flour, dip in the egg mixture, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray coated apple fries with cooking spray and place in a single layer in the basket.
  5. Air fry the apple fries at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from air fryer and toss in more cinnamon sugar if desired. Serve warm with caramel dip, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
