Cooking Steps
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken tenders dry with a paper towel. Slice them if necessary.
- In one bowl, whisk together the egg or aquafaba. In another, combine panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken tender in the egg wash, then in the panko mixture. Press the crumbs onto the chicken.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken tenders in a single layer.
- Cook the chicken tenders for 14-16 minutes, turning halfway for even browning.
- Check for doneness with a meat thermometer; it should read 165°F (74°C).
- Serve on a platter with your favorite dipping sauces and sides.
