Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into uniform cubes measuring about ¾ to 1 inch.
  4. Whisk together olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest. In another bowl, mix black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and cornstarch.
  5. Toss the tofu cubes in the lemon-oil mixture, then sprinkle the dry seasoning mixture over and toss again.
  6. Spread coated tofu in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25-35 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Optional: Broil for an additional 1-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
