Preparation Steps
- Start by removing excess moisture from the tofu. Wrap it in a clean towel and place a heavy object on top for about 15 minutes.
- Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- In one bowl, combine cornstarch and garlic powder. In another bowl, pour in the panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat each tofu cube with the cornstarch mix, then roll in the panko breadcrumbs.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Space the coated tofu on the sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together vegan mayonnaise, Sriracha, sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Toss the baked tofu in the sauce and serve immediately.
