Preparation Steps
- Step 1: Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes.
- Step 2: Whisk together cornstarch and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Put panko breadcrumbs in another bowl.
- Step 3: Coat each tofu cube in the cornstarch mixture and then in panko breadcrumbs.
- Step 4: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange coated tofu on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Step 5: Mix vegan mayonnaise, Sriracha, white sugar, and salt in a bowl to create the Bang Bang sauce. Adjust spice as needed.
- Step 6: Toss baked tofu with Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
