Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Drain a block of extra firm tofu and press for 15-20 minutes. Slice into 1/4-inch thick pieces.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix panko bread crumbs, flour, and optional corn starch. Add nutritional yeast and seasonings.
  3. Sprinkle tofu with Bragg's Liquid Aminos or soy sauce. Marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Coat each tofu slice in the breading mixture, ensuring crumbs stick well on both sides.
  5. For baking, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange tofu on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, flip and bake another 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For pan-frying, heat oil in a skillet. Fry tofu slices for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden.
  7. Serve crispy tofu with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside veggies.
