Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your tools, including a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, a cutting board, and a sharp knife or mandolin for slicing the onions.
  2. Slice the yellow onions thinly, about 1/8 inch thickness. Set them aside.
  3. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded Parmesan cheese on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Carefully lay the sliced onions over the Parmesan in a single, even layer.
  5. Lightly coat the onion slices with olive oil using a brush.
  6. Sprinkle sea salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper over the onions.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Allow the chips to cool slightly before cutting them into chip shapes.
