Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Ultimate Club Sandwich
- Begin by preheating a skillet over medium heat or using a toaster. Toast thick-cut slices of your chosen bread until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- In a separate skillet, cook the smoky bacon over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally until crispy. Reserve a teaspoon of rendered fat if desired.
- While the bacon cooks, wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato thinly and pat those slices dry as well.
- On one slice of toast, spread mayonnaise, then layer with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and optional cheese. Repeat with another slice, adding more mayonnaise before placing it on top.
- Slice the assembled sandwich into quarters and serve immediately, preferably alongside kettle chips or a fresh salad.
