Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Electric mixer

Method

Brownie Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 pan. Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions, incorporating water, vegetable oil, and the egg. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 22-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely.
Buttercream Frosting
  1. Combine softened butter and peanut butter in a mixing bowl until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing on medium speed for 3-5 minutes until thick and fluffy.
Ganache
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream, stirring until melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
Assembly
  1. Slice cooled brownies into three equal layers. Layer the first brownie, spread buttercream frosting on top, add whole Reese's cups, and drizzle ganache. Repeat for the second layer.
Final Touches
  1. Spread remaining peanut butter frosting on the last layer and drizzle ganache. Chop additional Reese's cups for topping and ensure presentation is enticing before chilling.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Slice into pieces to serve and enjoy this indulgent dessert with friends and family.
