Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Bread Dipping Oil
  1. Begin by pouring about ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil into a shallow serving bowl. Then, drizzle approximately 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar on top, allowing the rich oil and tangy vinegar to visually blend at the bottom of the bowl.
  2. Finely chop a handful of fresh parsley and basil leaves, and pit then chop around ¼ cup each of Castelvetrano and Kalamata olives. Add these colorful herbs and olives into the bowl with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  3. Grate a clove of garlic into the bowl, followed by ½ teaspoon of dried oregano and a pinch of flaky sea salt. Use a spoon to gently mix the ingredients together.
  4. Sprinkle in about ¼ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and give the mixture another gentle stir.
  5. If possible, let your Bread Dipping Oil sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
  6. Finally, serve the Bread Dipping Oil immediately alongside slices of warm, crusty bread.
