  • 1 pound Brussels Sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper freshly ground
For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup honey can be substituted but adjust amount
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Orange Zest avoid dried zest
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce coconut aminos can be used
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh minced

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water and dry them with a clean kitchen towel. Trim the ends and slice each sprout in half.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and freshly ground pepper.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts cut-side down on a baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes.
  5. Stir the Brussels sprouts and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  6. Whisk together maple syrup, fresh orange juice, fresh orange zest, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a medium bowl.
  7. Pour the glaze over the roasted Brussels sprouts and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Return the coated Brussels sprouts to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
