For the Cocktail
  • 1 cup Blackberries Fresh is best, but frozen will work too.
  • 1 cup Orange Juice Opt for freshly squeezed for maximum taste.
  • 1 bottle Sparkling Wine (Champagne) Any dry sparkling wine will do, or use a non-alcoholic version for a mocktail.
Optional Garnish
  • 2 pieces Whole Blackberries Use for an elegant touch and extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill your champagne flutes in the refrigerator for about 10–15 minutes.
  2. Take a handful of fresh blackberries and place a few at the bottom of each flute. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down to release the juices.
  3. Pour a splash of fresh orange juice into each flute, filling them about a quarter full.
  4. Slowly and carefully fill the remainder of each glass with chilled sparkling wine.
  5. Float a whole blackberry or two on top of each drink as a garnish.
