Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by removing the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs to ensure tenderness.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, water, brown sugar, sea salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Coat the ribs with the marinade.
  3. Soak wood chips in water for about 30 minutes if using.
  4. Preheat your grill to 225°F (107°C).
  5. Place the marinated ribs bone-side down on the grill grates and grill for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Baste the ribs with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes during the last hour of grilling.
  7. Check the doneness by pulling at the meat; it should easily come off the bone.
  8. Remove from heat and let the ribs rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
