Prepare Peach Syrup
- Wash 3-4 ripe peaches, peel and slice them. In a saucepan, combine peach slices, 1 cup of water, and 1 cup of sugar. Heat for about 10 minutes, stirring until sugar dissolves and peaches soften. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, then cool.
Squeeze Fresh Lemon Juice
- Cut 4-6 fresh lemons in half and squeeze into a citrus juicer for about 1 cup of juice. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
Combine Ingredients in Pitcher
- Once the peach syrup has cooled, strain it into the pitcher with the lemon juice. Add 4 cups of cold water and stir gently until combined.
Adjust Sweetness to Taste
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness as desired by adding more peach syrup or cold water.
Serve with Ice and Garnish
- Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the lemonade over the ice, and garnish with peach slices and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
