Cooking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your sliced mushrooms and onions.
- Toss the sliced mushrooms and onions with olive oil, seasoning with salt and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for about 20 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter to coat the bottom.
- Layer Gouda cheese, roasted mushrooms, and onions on one slice of bread, topping with another slice.
- Dip the sandwiches in melted butter, then grill in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve immediately.
