Step-by-Step Instructions for Hot Ranch Sausage Dip
- In a medium skillet, heat over medium heat and add 1 pound of ground sausage. Brown the sausage for about 5–7 minutes, breaking it into crumbly pieces. Cook until no longer pink and nicely browned. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, and 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Fold the cooked sausage into the cream cheese mixture. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, along with diced tomatoes if using. Mix until well combined.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish. Smooth the dip mixture into the dish and sprinkle additional cheese if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20–25 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then sprinkle with diced green onions and serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies.

Notes
Ensure cream cheese is softened for a creamy texture. You can make the dip a day ahead and store in the fridge. Reheat before serving.
