  • 2 pounds Pork Ribs baby back or spare ribs
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil or any neutral oil
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar can substitute with coconut sugar
  • 1 cup Ketchup can use lower-sugar option
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce use gluten-free for gluten-free version
  • 1 cup Pineapple Juice fresh juice preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic or 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and line two baking sheets with foil.
  2. Lightly coat both sides of the pork ribs with sesame oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple juice, minced ginger, and minced garlic, whisk until smooth.
  4. Baste the ribs on both sides with the sauce, reserving some for later.
  5. Place the ribs in the oven, bake for 3 to 4 hours, rotating pans every hour.
  6. In the last 30 minutes, baste the ribs again with the reserved sauce and return to the oven.
  7. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
