Layer Preparation

  3. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package directions until it thickens, generally around 5 minutes with whisking. Carefully pour it over the cream cheese layer, smoothing it with a spatula.
  4. Spread whipped topping or freshly whipped cream over the pudding layer to create a smooth layer.
  5. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld.
  6. Once chilled, remove the cake from the fridge and cut into squares for serving. Serve chilled and enjoy!
