Step-by-Step Instructions for Apple Fritter Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed ingredients, alternating with the milk.
- Peel and chop the apples into small pieces. Toss with a tablespoon of sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Spoon half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the apple mixture and half of the cinnamon-sugar blend. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk for the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled bread and enjoy!
