Step-by-Step Instructions for Apple Fritter Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  5. Peel and chop the apples into small pieces. Toss with a tablespoon of sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  6. Spoon half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the apple mixture and half of the cinnamon-sugar blend. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk for the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled bread and enjoy!
