- Preheat your oven to 415°F (213°C).
- Peel and slice the apples into 8-10 pieces each.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 8 squares.
- Place 4-5 apple slices in the center of each pastry square and sprinkle with sugar.
- Fold the pastry over the apple filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Whisk the egg and brush it over the tops of each turnover.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
