- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with butter.
- In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, then add sliced bananas and sauté until golden, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt together. Cut in butter until crumbly, then add buttermilk and mix gently.
