Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Chop the broccoli florets finely. Optionally, blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes, then plunge into ice water.
- In a large bowl, mix the broccoli with bacon, red onion, and cranberries.
- Gently fold in the sliced almonds.
- Drizzle dressing over the salad and toss gently until coated.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Just before serving, toss the salad again and serve in a large bowl.
