  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (minced)

Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • parchment paper
  • whisk

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together honey, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and five-spice powder until well combined. Add the chicken thighs and ensure they are fully coated in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  3. Arrange the marinated chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet, pour remaining marinade over the top, and bake for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked and edges are caramelized.
  4. Optionally, after baking, grill or broil the chicken for an additional 2 minutes per side for a charred flavor, being careful not to burn.
  5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve warm with steamed rice or stir-fried veggies.
