Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended. Add optional seasonings if desired.
  2. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread butter-side down, spread cottage cheese mixture over it, and top with the second slice, butter-side up.
  4. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from skillet, let rest for a minute, then slice and serve immediately with pizza sauce for dipping.
