Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and fresh parsley. Sprinkle in the ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spatula until evenly combined.
- Wet your hands with water and shape the mixture into 10-12 oval pieces, flattening them slightly. Lay them on a platter.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 350°F (180°C). Brush the grates with olive oil.
Cooking
- Place the shaped kofta on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden-brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the plain yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and optional minced garlic until smooth. Set aside.
- Serve the grilled kofta on a platter and drizzle with the garlic yogurt sauce or serve it on the side.
