Preparation
  1. Gather all ingredients and line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.

  3. Stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in peppermint extract, adjusting to taste.
  5. Divide the melted mixture between two bowls; add red food coloring to one.
  6. Spoon mixtures alternately into the baking dish and swirl with a knife.
  7. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top, pressing gently.
  8. Refrigerate for about 2-3 hours until set.
  9. Lift fudge from dish using parchment, cut into squares, and serve.
