For the Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp Salted Butter Feel free to use unsalted if managing sodium intake.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced; fresh garlic is ideal.
  • 0.25 tsp Ground Black Pepper Freshly ground pepper is best.

Equipment

  • frying pan

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Begin by placing the trimmed green beans in a large frying pan, spread out evenly. Add about 1 inch of water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook for 5 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same frying pan, reduce heat to medium and add 3 tablespoons of salted butter. Let melt completely, then add minced garlic. Sauté gently for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown and aromatic.
  3. Return the drained green beans to the pan, ensuring they're coated in garlic butter. Sprinkle in salt and pepper. Toss for 2-3 minutes until heated through and lightly caramelized.
  4. Transfer to a serving plate while hot. Offer optional toppings like toasted almonds or red pepper flakes at the table.
