Cooking Steps
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef and 1 diced onion, cooking until the beef is browned and the onion is soft, about 5–7 minutes.
- Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 can of tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard, and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle in 2 teaspoons of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, and a dash of salt and pepper.
- Reduce the heat to low, allowing the Hot Dog Chili to simmer uncovered for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the chili has reached your desired thickness, generously spoon the hot mixture over grilled or steamed hot dogs.
