For Garnishing

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the frozen gyoza dumplings according to the package instructions, either steaming them for 6-8 minutes or pan-frying for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  2. Whisk together tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup in a small bowl, then pour over the cooked dumplings and toss to coat.
  3. Chop heirloom tomatoes, slice the cucumber, and chop scallions. Combine these in a large bowl.
  4. Tear basil leaves and add to the bowl along with toasted sesame seeds. Mix everything gently.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl, chill for 15 minutes if desired, and serve with optional garlic chili sauce.
