  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Substitute with tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil Olive oil can be used if unavailable
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Honey or sugar alternative works for low-sugar
For the Veggies
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Chopped, mix different colors
  • 1 cup Kimchi Chopped, preferred type
For Assembly
  • 4 rolls Hoagie Rolls Opt for whole grain or gluten-free if needed
  • 8 ounces Cheese Provolone or American, customize as desired

Preparation Instructions
  1. Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain for the best texture. Chop the onion and bell peppers into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sugar. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil, then sauté onions and bell peppers for about 5 minutes until tender.
  4. Push veggies to one side, add marinated beef, and sear for about 5 minutes until browned.
  5. Stir in chopped kimchi and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Assemble toasted hoagie rolls with the beef and kimchi mixture, top with cheese, and place under broiler for 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Serve immediately, drizzled with extra soy sauce if desired.
