- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

- Add the minced garlic and thyme to the skillet. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
- Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and soy sauce, if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another minute until the butter is melted and everything is well combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
