Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add honey and soy sauce to the skillet. If you want spice, toss in red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Add drained pasta to skillet, tossing to coat with sauce. If sauce is too thick, use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
- Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!
