Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet with butter or parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until no flour streaks remain.
  5. Fold in the slivered almonds, distributing them evenly.
  6. Shape the dough into 1.5-inch wide balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden and puffed up.
  8. Allow to cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack before dusting with powdered sugar.
