Method
 

Step-By-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms, sauté for about 5–7 minutes until slightly browned. Stir in garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Blanch green beans in chicken broth for about 8 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain well.
  4. Combine the sautéed mushroom mixture, drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Fold until well-mixed.
  5. Grease a 2-quart baking dish and pour in the green bean mixture, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with crispy fried onion strings.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
