Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Brew 2 cups of strong coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. If desired, mix in 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur for added flavor depth.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of cold heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Combine 8 oz of softened mascarpone cheese with ½ cup of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a separate bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture without deflating it too much.
  5. Dip ladyfingers briefly into the cooled coffee mixture, then arrange them at the bottom of your serving glasses.
  6. Spoon a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers in each glass. Repeat the layering until the glasses are filled.
  7. Dust with unsweetened cocoa powder and sprinkle with grated dark chocolate. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  8. Serve directly from the fridge and enjoy the dessert once chilled.
